Is it a regular subscription-type thing?
No, it's a one-off; we'll only send you a Curate box when you order one. If you really like the box-experience, you can decide to order a second one though after we received your box back. There is a maximum of two boxes per person.
What is Curate by AUrate?
Curate is AUrate's dedicated free home try-on styling service, where your personal stylist handpicks pieces for you to try at home. It's simple, bespoke and completely commitment-free. We offer two types of surveys, one is our on the go that contains a few simple questions or a more extensive version to further elaborate on your style. Your stylist will put together an edit of 5 AUrate pieces to fit your style, preferences and budget — and mail them directly to your door. Try them on for 7 days, keep what you love, and send the rest back via pre-scheduled express carrier service pick up. Shipping and returns are completely free.
Why would I order a Curate box instead of just making a regular purchase?
Good point – after all, AUrate already has a 30-day no-questions-asked returns policy! The major difference is that Curate is put together by an expert stylist who'll help you find your perfect pieces. Plus, it's also a completely pressure-free way to try on our finest pieces before you commit, letting you play with dazzling diamonds and perfect pearls without any upfront costs in the comfort of your home.
How soon can I get my hands on my Curate Box?

As soon as you've finished your Curate questionnaire, your stylist will get straight to work. Boxes typically take 3-5 business days to be put together after you have completed your survey. Your Curate box will then be carefully shipped via priority mail. We'll send you tracking information so that you know exactly when to expect your delivery.

How much does a Curate Box cost?

It's a free, home try-on service – there are no upfront costs for ordering your Curate Box. After placing your order, you will see a temporary hold of $100 to ensure valid payment method in file, which will be released when you return your box. Our personalized styling advice and shipping are complimentary, and you’ll only be charged for the individual pieces that you decide to keep (provided you send back anything you don't decide to keep within 7 business days). Your Curate box includes a packing slip in which you'll find the details of each piece price. You'll indicate a budget when ordering your Curate Box, so everything in it will be chosen to meet your preferences, whether you're feeling frugal or flash.

When and what will my credit card be charged?

 When you order your box, we charge you a nominal, temporary deposit of $100, just to make sure your card is valid. You’ll be charged for the specific pieces you keep from your Curate Box when you let us know which items you're hanging onto (within or by the end of your 7 business day trial period). You're responsible for the items included in your Curate Box until they're scanned into FedEx's system and on its way back to us. You will be charged for the entire content of your Curate Box if it is lost before being scanned into FedEx's system. We recommend you take the receipt with the tracking number upon drop off at FedEx as proof. 

Is every credit card accepted?
No. Unfortunately, we cannot accept pre-paid and debit cards.
Will you remind me how much time I have left?

Don't worry – we'll keep you on track. Your stylist will be in touch midway through your 7-day trial period to check in with you. They'll also reach out 2 days before the due date to make sure you're all set to keep or return your pieces. And we'll let you know as soon as we receive your Curate returns so you can relax and enjoy the pieces you couldn't bear to be parted from.

What's the cost of shipping and returns?
Shipping both ways is free. All Curate boxes are signature required. This cannot be removed upon request, sorry. 
How do returns work?
Once your trial has started, we’ll email you a link to select the pieces you're keeping and sending back (online checkout can be found here).  You can schedule a pick-up for a time that's most convenient to you, either directly via FedEx or via a quick message to your stylist, who'll be happy to arrange the collection on your behalf. Alternatively, you can leave the package at a FedEx drop-off point using the pre-paid shipping label you'll receive with your Curate Box (we recommend you take the receipt with the tracking number upon drop off at FedEx as proof. ). Please make sure to include the original packaging that you received with your Box, and to send back everything that you're not planning to keep. 
How long do I have to send back anything I don’t want to keep?

Returns are due back in the mail within 7 business days of receiving your Curate Box. For example, if your shipment arrives on Wednesday, August 1st, your return must be post-marked no later than Friday, August 10th (which is 7 business days later). If your returns aren’t postmarked within the 7-day timeframe, we will have assumed you’re keeping all items and will charge you the total value (but we’ll still double check with you, no worries).

How long do I have to try out my Curate pieces before being charged?
From the day your Curate box arrives at your door, you have up to 7 business days to send us back anything you won't be keeping. If we haven’t heard from you by day 8, we’ll assume you're keeping your box but we’ll still reach out to double check before we charge you.
Can I get more time with my pieces?

A pretty famous story claims that the world was made in 7 days, so we're confident that it's long enough to try on and fall in love with some beautiful jewelry.

Will I be charged if I decide not to keep anything?

Absolutely not! (provided you return your items to us in original condition within 7 business days). But we'd love to hear your feedback on your Curate box and overall experience so we can make sure we tempt you better next time!

Can I request specific pieces in my Curate Box?
Let your stylist know in your questionnaire if you've already fallen hard for particular pieces. If we can include it in your box, we'll do our best, but if it's not in stock or not part of Curate, we'll use the intel to build our understanding of your personal style and select alternatives to suit you. Ideally, your stylist will help you discover new pieces you might not have considered, so we recommend giving them general ideas and preferences rather than exact pieces so you get the most from the experience.
Are my Curate pieces covered by AUrate's lifetime guarantee if I decide to purchase?

Can my pieces be adjusted or customized in my Curate Box?

Once you have purchased an item from your Curate Box, we can offer additionally customization and personalization to your likings.

So what do I do if I change my mind about pieces I've kept from my Curate box?

No problem – just like any other AUrate purchase, you've got 30 days (from the day you purchase your Curate items) to return or exchange your pieces, no questions asked. Full details are right here.

Can I use discount codes while purchasing from my Curate Box?

Curate Boxes can only accept First Time Customer discounts codes and Student Discount codes. Other promotions are not applicable to your Curate Box at this time.

What if my Curate box goes missing on its way to me?

All boxes are sent with signature requirement, so the chances of this happening are very low! If you experience a lost package with signature requirement please reach out to us and we will assist you from there.

What ring size is available in my box?
Curate Boxes usually contain a size 6 or 7, at this time we cannot personalize direct ring sizes per box. 
How do I find my ring size?
Use the complimentary ring-sizer in the box to find your perfect fit. We’ll happily exchange your ring for a different size as part of our 30-day exchange policy.
Will I receive pre-worn jewelry in my box?

All the jewelry is brand new, straight from our workshop in NYC to your home.

Can you ship the Curate Box internationally?
Afraid not – right now Curate by AUrate is only available for domestic US orders (across all 50 states).
